    Shark Reef Sanctuary
    Named after the nearby reef, this sanctuary provides a bounty of wildlife in a minimum impact nature reserve. The main attraction here is a set of rocky cliffs that overlook the San Juan Channel. Bikes, camping and fires are not permitted in the park.

    Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens

    This not-for-profit garden encompasses 53 acres (21 ha) of display and educational garden, as well as a woodland preserve. Located near Greenbank, visitors to the gardens enjoy exploring the miles of nature trails and viewing the many varieties of rhododendrons, flowering trees and conifers.

    San Juan County Park
    San Juan County Park was designed with the boater in mind, and it is a popular location for both sport fishing and kayakers. A boat launch is located here, as are sites for tent camping as well as RV and trailer spots. Local Orca pods are visible in the summer months.

    Moran State Park

    Moran State Park features numerous recreational opportunities. Several different campsites are available here, as are places for hiking, picnicking, swimming, and fishing. This is also where visitors will find Mount Constitution, the islands highest point at over 2000 feet above sea level.

    The San Juan National Historic Park celebrates the island's past, and was the site of the 'Pig War' that finally determined the island's ownership.
